I sat next to a couple of seasoned regulars, one regaled me with stories of his lovely family cabin all the while peppering his stories with little tid bits of his history with T&T. He was an absolute delight. They knew his order before he ordered it. While talking with my new friend another gero regular came in, though it got past me at the time, she rode a little scooter which she parked just outside the door. She sat down next to my new gentleman friend and before she could say too much a plate with her special order (complete with crusts cut off the toast) was presented before her. Though I think this scene is played out daily she was thrilled to be treated so well. There were two teammates from a local team across the counter from us, dressed alike naturally, she ever so sweetly inquired if they were twins. And, she did not mean TWINS as in baseball. She commented on how nice it was that they wore matching outfits. No one suggested otherwise. The people are real, the food is down home real, no pretense. All feel good Minnesota nice. If you are feeling blue - might I recommend an early morning breakfast at the counter. Your spirits will be lifted and for a small outlay of cash you will not need to eat until dinner! And perhaps your faith in humanity might get a tad more towards restored. Mine sure did.

We stopped in here this past Saturday on a whim after having our usual Saturday coffee at Blacksheep (its just down the street). It's a diner, and if you are cool with that, then you won't really care about the decor. There are a mix of counter seats, booths and tables. It's on the smallish side, I would guess it might seat 50. Now, on to the food. I had their biscuits and gravy special and I can honestly say, its some of the best B&G I've ever had. The gravy was flavorful and thick, without being too heavy. There were large chunks of sausage in the gravy, easily 3 sausage patties worth. The biscuits were light and fluffy and melted in your mouth. My wife had a veggie and cheese omelet that was also great, large and plenty of fresh veggies. The prices are hard to beat, with most items under $7. We will definitely be back.

My favorite place for breakfast. They have many good choices on their menu. The steak is extremely tender and delicious. Prices are very reasonable. For a treat order the Jordy browns, it's hashbrowns with sautéed onions and cheese on top. Their coffee is simply the best I've had. The lunch selections are pretty good too and also good prices. If you are anywhere nearby you should stop by and try this place.

This little spot is excellent for somebody who is looking for a small town diner atmosphere. The food was great and everybody was friendly. A real mom and pop shop. They were even there! Lol

Good solid choice for simple breakfast. Clean environment. The food was fresh and prepared well. I had hash browns and eggs over medium. I opted for a pancake vs. toast. The coffee was just made -lots of cream and sugar were on the table. No drama, no problems, just an enjoyable place to fill up my pie hole and move along for the day.

I had eggs, toast and bacon with cheesy hash browns. My boyfriend had the steak and eggs. It was outstanding. Note that the cheese on the potatoes was American, not cheddar. It did not matter to me, but it might to someone else who might have expected cheddar.

Went to this diner based on other glowing reviews from other Yelpers. As always, great call, guys! A little, neighborhood family owned establishment. The kitchen is wee, but the portions are GINORMOUS. I almost cried when I saw the size of the omelet, knowing I could never finish it. Delicious food served piping hot by a genuinely friendly and caring staff. What's not to like? Husband had the biscuits and gravy, also delicious and large portions. Our coffee cups were never less than half full, and service is swift. The place was full of regulars, and if I lived closer, you could count me in those ranks, too.

I hesitate to write this review because this place is teeny tiny and I would hate to wait too long for breakfast on the weekend if more people learn about this little gem in South St, Paul. After dropping our pooch Teddi off at Silver Dog for a grooming, I turned to yelp and found great reviews on this place so we gave it a shot and boy am I glad we did! This most definitely is going to be at the top of our weekend breakfast rotation list. Lets start with the server. Everyone working here is super duper nice and friendly. When this picky girl asked about the hollandaise sauce, she asked if I wanted to try it..Ummm..Yes Please!! She not only brought me a little cup of hollandaise but also a sample of the sausage gravy which I had also inquired about. Both sauces were delish!! I wanted to lick the little containers clean. I had such a hard time deciding but I already had decided at this point, this was not going to be our last time here, so I went with the Biscuits and Gravy. My daughter got the breakfast burrito. My platter came and the biscuits were smothered in gravy with tons of sausage. It was probably the best biscuits and gravy I have ever eaten out. I pride myself on my B &G but this one might top mine. I had to bring some home, that's how much was on the plate and it was served hot hot which I love!! My daughter also enjoyed her breakfast burrito and loved her bite of my B&G. The coffee cups were nice and big and always refilled promptly. I can not wait to go back this weekend and try the eggs Benedict...

My favorite breakfast place for comfort food breakfast and the service is always good. It's not foo-foo food so if you are looking for gourmet - go someplace else. The staff are very friendly and the portions are large. I highly recommend the "Jordy Browns' I don't know who they are named for but they are great, cheesy hash browns. I feel comfortable going there alone, sitting at the counter and agree sometimes the local regulars can make the atmosphere a little cool but if you reach out, they warn up quickly and the experience is enjoyable. Or they are happy to leave you alone as well. They don't take checks anymore so make sure you have cash or cards.

T & T has been around for years (20 now I think) and isn't going anywhere. It's definitely a fixture in South Saint Paul. The food is definitely above average in comparison to your typical breakfast diners you'll find in other small neighborhoods. The service is friendly and you'll see regulars everywhere which is almost becoming unique in this day and age. They have just about every breakfast favorite you can think of so if you can't find something for you put your glasses on.
